Peckham-born artist Sam Akpro has recently emerged from the depths of South London, playing venues like the indie-famous The Windmill Brixton, with a sound that's often transcendental, and rebels genre rigidity. He's just released a new single 'Swan' alongside a DIY visual. An eerie atmosphere is created with muddy keyboard and abstract guitar bends, whilst Sam's vocals are natural and effortless. Bleeds of distortion stain the track, and it unexpectedly diverges into energetic kraut-punk, whereby drums punch, feedback takes hold, and Sam's vocals gain energetic intensity.
